Youth Injured in Knife Attack, Second Incident in Kashmir Within 24 Hours

SRINAGAR: A day after youth was injured in Kupwara knife attack, another similar attack was reported in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Friday.

Qouting sources a local news agency reported that in a fresh knife attack case, a youth identified as Shafat Ahmad of Mandir Bagh area of Srinagar was injured by unknown persons who attacked him with a knife.

However, he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment. A police officer said that they are verifying the facts about this knife incident.

Pertinently, on Thursday evening, a youth identified as Muneer Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar, a resident of Bumhama Kupwara, was injured after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon near Baber line. He was later hospitalized at GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment. (KS)
