‘World Hepatitis Day’: DC Budgam inaugurates awareness camp

BUDGAM, JULY 27: The District Administration Budgam in collaboration with Health department Budgam today organised a screening and awareness camp in commemoration of ‘World Hepatitis Day’ at Sheikh ul Alam Hall Budgam.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo inaugurated the camp.

The event witnessed the presence of healthcare professionals, paramedics, Aasha Workers and local members of the District.

The DC in his address emphasized the importance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of hepatitis, especially Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C.

He also highlighted the government’s initiatives to combat the disease and improve public health infrastructure. He said awareness plays an important role to prevent contracting the diseases.

He said the District Administration is committed to ensure all the necessary support for augmenting and improving health sector services in Budgam.

Earlier CMO Budgam, M. Ayoub welcomed the guests and opened the session for further discussions.

The event featured informative sessions by healthcare experts who provided valuable insights into hepatitis prevention and management. Free health check-ups and hepatitis screenings were also conducted.
