Hyderabad: A 20-year-old woman ended her life when her husband refused to take her to a movie in Hyderabad.
Swathi, a native of Tandur in Vikarabad district, married Raju, 22, a hotel employee from the same village. Both had a love marriage as their families had not approved of the relationship. They were living in a rented house at Bhavani Nagar in Shankarpally.
According to the police, for the last few days, Swathi was asking Raju to take her to a movie, but he kept postponing for one reason or the other. Upset over the dilly-dallying, Swathi hanged herself at home when Raju went to work.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
