A video clip of a pilgrim carrying his mother on his shoulders near the Holy Kaaba has gone viral.
Social media users have hailed the pilgrim’s act of taking the utmost care of her mother. They said that the pilgrim fulfilled the Prophet’s (peace be upon him), saying that “Paradise is under the feet of mothers” in Ramadan in all senses of the word.
As she performed Umrah sitting on his shoulders, the elderly woman pilgrim expressed her joy by kissing his beloved son’s head while overcome with joy.
This Ramadan, the number of pilgrims and Umrah worshipers in Masjid al-Haram has already exceeded one million. Saudi Arabia’s General Presidency for Haram Sharif Affairs has prepared five regular vehicles and 3,000 electric vehicles for pilgrims and connected them through the app.
