SRINAGAR, JULY 16: Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today participated as Chief Guest in a significant event organized by J&K Waqf Board at Pir Ki Gali on the famous Mughal Road, following the takeover of the management of the Sufi Shrine of Qadir Sahib (RA) here.
Dr. Andrabi was accompanied by Waqf Executive Officer Shopian Javid Qadiri, SDPO Shopian, and the concerned SHO.
The management of this Sufi shrine was recently taken over by the Board in response to the persistent demand of the local population from both divisions of J&K.
“I thank the people for their support and their trust in the Board. The Board considered the demand of the people and took over the management of the shrine. I thank the Administration and the Police authorities for their exceptional support in making it possible,” said Andrabi. She added that J&K Waqf Board will ensure transparent management of the shrine.
“All requisite developments will be done here. Plans for developing facilities for the visitors and devotees will be made and executed soon,” assured the Chairperson of the Board.
