Srinagar Airport receives hoax bomb call

Monitor News Bureau

Srinagar, May 31: Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the Srinagar Airport on Friday received a call threatening a “bomb” in a Srinagar-bound Vistara flight UK611, Airport authorities said.

Srinagar Airport authorities said that a quick response was initiated by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), who thoroughly scoured the flight after the receipt of the bomb threat call.

“The flyers were evacuated to a safer side to ensure their safety and subsequently the CISF personnel scrutinized each part of the flight,” they said.

It was said that the bomb call was a hoax as nothing was found in the Vistara flight.

Soon after the flight’s checking by the CISF and receiving a green light from them, the flight operation was recommenced at the Srinagar Airport, authorities added
