Srinagar: The Kashmir valley is seeing the anti-Covid weekend lockdown being implemented even though cases have shown a steady decline, but authorities are not taking any chances.
Shops and business establishments, as well as public transport, will remain shut till 6 am on Monday as per the lockdown guidelines.
Experts believe that Jammu and Kashmir have already seen the peak of the current Covid wave led by the highly virulent Omicron strain and that by the end of the month the daily cases will come down to three or maybe even two digits.
