Customs officials arrested a passenger from Abu Dhabi who had concealed gold inside the wig and the rectum.
The man landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi from Abdul Dhabi. However, customs department officials got suspicious and decided to frisk him.
During checking, they found gold worth over Rs 30 lakh hidden inside the wig. He had concealed some of the gold in his rectum.
Approximately 630.45 grams of gold were found in his wig.
Customs Commissioner Office said a gold smuggling case was booked on a passenger from Abu Dhabi at IGI Airport T3. “Approximately 630.45 g of gold worth Rs 30.55 lakhs was concealed inside his wig & rectum. Accused arrested; further probe underway,” the office said.
