A video of a man attacking a woman in full public has sparked anger online.
Mahantesh from Karnataka’s Bagalkote district was caught on camera assaulting a female lawyer.
The man was arrested after the video went viral.
Reports said Mahantesh assaulted the lady lawyer over a land dispute in broad daylight. The whole incident was recorded by a passer-by.
The video has gone viral and many people have condemned the assault.
Aarif Shah posted the video on Twitter. “Man brutally assaulted a lawyer in Vinayak Nagar, Bagalkot, Karnataka. He has been identified as Mahantesh,” he wrote.
In the video, the man is seen kicking the woman in her stomach. Mahantesh also slapped the woman.
Based on the video, Bagalkote police arrested Mahantesh and charged him with assault. The woman and Mahantesh are said to be neighbors.
