US Vice President JD Vance to Arrive in India Today with Family, Meet PM Modi

PM Modi with JD Vance

New Delhi, Apr 21: US Vice President JD Vance is set to arrive in New Delhi on Monday for a three-day visit, accompanied by his wife Usha and their three children — sons Ewan and Vivek, and daughter Mirabel. The visit will include a key meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a dinner hosted at the PM’s official residence.

While ongoing trade negotiations are likely to feature in the talks, the visit will largely focus on cultural engagements. The Vance family will tour iconic sites in Jaipur and Agra, aiming to connect the children with their Indian heritage.

Vance will receive a guard of honour upon arrival, followed by a visit to a Delhi-based handicrafts and textile outlet. Due to a delay in arrival, some meetings with Indian leaders have been dropped from the itinerary. PM Modi, who is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia on April 22-23, will still meet Vance later this evening.
