Thousands participate in Farhan’s funeral prayers

Srinagar:Thousands of people Wednesday participated in the funeral prayers of slain Hizb militant Farhan Wani at his ancestral villages in Kulgam.
Funeral prayers of Farhan was offered at his native village in Wanigund, Khudwani area of the district Kulgam.
Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani addressed the gathering telephonically.
Farhan was buried at his ancestral village.
Farhan was killed during a gunbattle with the state government forces on Tuesday in Larnoo forest area of Kokernag in district Anantnag.
A complete shutdown also observed in districts of Anantnag and Kulgam over militant and civilian killings/
Traffic is off the roads while business also remained affected in both the district.
Meanwhile, the mobile internet has also been suspended in the districts.
Pertinently, a youth identified as Khalid Dar son of Abdul Salam Dar was killed after forces fired upon protesters in Khudwani area of district Kulgam on Tuesday.
While, Farhan Wani (militant) was killed during a gunbattle with the state government forces on Tuesday in Larnoo forest area of Kokernag in district Anantnag.
