Syed Hamdani passes away in Rawalpindi

Srinagar, Aug 28: Syed Javed Hamdani passed away in Rawalpindi, Pakistan Monday night.
Family sources said that Hamdani, who owned a printing press, breathed his last at 10 pm Monday.
The funeral prayers of the deceased were held at Kaaf-Kabristan, New Kataria at 2pm on Tuesday.
Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq condoled the demise of Hamdani calling him “a
front runner of Kashmir’s freedom struggle”
Javed originally hailed from Raiteng, Rainawari.
“He was a great sympathizer of Kashmir and worked on various fronts to highlight the Kashmir issue. He
helped many people especially refugees from Kashmir,” Mirwaiz said in a statement.
He added said that deceased was a close friend and associate of Molvi Muhammad Ahmed, Son of Muhajir
Millat Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah(RA)
Mirwaiz extended his condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the highest standards in Janah for
the deceased.
