Suresh Raina Named Youth Voter Awareness Ambassador for Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jammu and Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, officially declared and handed a letter to Suresh Raina appointing him as the Youth Voter Awareness Ambassador for the Union Territory. During the announcement, the CEO highlighted Suresh Raina’s standing as a cricket icon and a highly respected personality in India, particularly among the younger generation.

He emphasized the potential of Raina’s influence to encourage increased participation in the electoral process, resulting in higher voter turnout and enhanced civic engagement. In his remarks at the event, Suresh Raina acknowledged the impressive achievements of several players from Jammu and Kashmir on national and international platforms.

He expressed optimism that more individuals from the region would attain success on such levels in the future. Raina urged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to register as voters before December 9, 2023, emphasizing the importance of active participation in the election process.

He stressed the significance of a robust voter turnout, underscoring its role in maintaining a healthy democracy. Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, was also present at the event.
