A thief stole 20 tolas of gold and Rs 50,000 in cash after he heard the man telling his wife to lock the house in Nalgonda.
Chollamalla Chandraiah had to drop his wife at the office. He called his wife to enquire whether she had locked the house properly.
Incidentally, a thief, who was hiding in a neighboring house got a tip that there is no one home.
The thief was pissed off as he could find any valuables in the neighboring house. Therefore he laid his hands on the dry fruits.
Later he entered Chollamalla’s house and decamped with 20 tolas of gold and Rs 50,000 cash.
Nalgonda Town sub-inspector Rajasekhar said Chandraiah drops his wife at the office every day. As usual, he inquired about locking the door. After returning home, Chandraiah found that 20 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs 50,000 in cash were missing. Police examined the footage of CCTV cameras to identify the thief.
