Srinagar hotel goes up in flames

Srinagar, Sep 15: A major fire broke out at a popular Hotel Pamposh located on the Residency Road in Srinagar on Saturday.

Though the cause of fire was not immediately, the blaze started on the top floor of the multi-storeyed Hotel which faces Jhelum on one end.

At least 25 fire tenders were engaged to douse the flames. The entire first floor of the eight-storey building was completely gutted in the massive blaze.

The building houses offices of some news channels and business establishments.
