Srinagar: First disinfectant channel for decontamination and sanitization were made operational at Chest Diseases hospital Srinagar on Thursday.
The tunnel is manufactured and commissioned by Srinagar Municipal Corporation.”People including Doctors, hospital workers, patients and other attendants can get sanitised instantly while entering or leaving hospital. These disinfectant channels have been built to clean people within no seconds automatically once they go through the channel,” Srinagar Mayor, Junaid Azim said.
Mattu accompanied by Deputy Mayor Parvez Qadri,Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation and other officials visited CD hospital to inspect and start off the installation of disinfectant channel at CD hospital to fend off the virus.
Mattu said that various steps have been taken to curb the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic by sanitising all the areas where from people were found to be positive.
