Srinagar: A senior advocate in Srinagar, who was injured in an accident on Wednesday, passed away a day later at SK Institute of Medical Sciences, here.
Advocate Mohammad Ashraf passed away early Thursday morning.
Family sources said that the deceased, who was grievously injured in a road accident on Wednesday, was immediately shifted to SKIMS Soura, where he breathed his last on Thursday.
“I am not reconciling to the bitter fact of his death. I am really speechless. I am stunned and shocked. Those who know him must all be in severe grief. He was a polished gentleman. His mannerism was exemplary. He was helpful to every needy and would receive his friends with smile and respect,” said a close friend of the deceased.
As per family, the congregational Fateh-khawani of the deceased is scheduled to be held on Sunday July 5 at 10.30 am at their ancestral graveyard at Gojwara near Akhoon Sahab shrine.
“Keeping in view the prevailing pandemic situation, the congregation will disperse immediately after Fateh-khawani,” a family member said.
