Selena Gomez has dethroned Kylie Jenner as Instagram’s most followed female, the guinnessworldrecords.com reported.
It said on 20 December 2021, American media personality Kylie earned the crown for the most followers on Instagram for a female, with 290,683,268 followers.
But on 23 February 2023, she was dethroned by pop star Selena, who surpassed Kylie’s following with a whopping 381,580,525 followers.
The Kylie Cosmetics mogul now trails closely behind with 379 million fans.
Selena was taking a hiatus from Instagram but returned to the social media platform stronger than ever.
Selena’s recent record means she ranks fourth overall for the most followers on Instagram, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi, and Instagram’s own account ahead of her.
Selena returned to the popular social media app last month, telling her followers in a caption, “Wait, can I tell you I’m back on Instagram?”
