Schools Reopen in Kashmir After Winter Break

Monitor News Desk

After a three-month winter break, schools in the Kashmir valley reopened on Monday. Students, dressed in their uniforms, were seen heading back to school. The first day back was marked by teachers welcoming the students and engaging them in fun and extracurricular activities.

The winter break started on November 28, 2023, for students up to 8th grade and on December 11, 2023, for those in 9th to 12th standard. Schools were scheduled to resume operations from March 1, 2024. However, due to inclement weather forecasts predicting heavy rains and snowfall, the resumption of classes faced a two-day delay.
