SBI expands reach with inauguration of Gund Ganderbal branch

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 17: The State Bank of India (SBI) has inaugurated its new branch at Gund in the Ganderbal district.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Chief General Manager Krishan Sharma, who emphasized the branch’s role as a cornerstone for financial inclusion and customer service excellence in the region.

Officials stated that the new branch aims to provide convenient and accessible banking services to the local population, promoting finan-cial inclusion and stimulating economic growth in the area. They highlighted SBI’s commitment to expanding its presence in rural regions, en-suring that banking services are available at the doorstep of every citizen.

The Gund Ganderbal branch will offer a variety of services, including savings and current accounts, loans and credit fa-cilities, deposit schemes, and digital banking services. “We are delighted to inaugurate our Gund Ganderbal branch, bridging the banking gap in rural areas. We look forward to serving the community and contributing to the region’s economic growth,” said Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager of the Chandigarh Circle.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including General Manager Vimal Kishore, Deputy General Manager Ravindra Kumar Gupta, and Regional Manager Jivan Lai Sharma. A large number of customers, civil society members from Gund, and well-wishers attended the inaugural ceremony, reflecting the strong bond between SBI and the community.
