Srinagar: Sultan-Ul-Arifee Ahmad Nagar defeated Dalgate XI by 2 runs in champions Trophy Srinagar here at TRC ground.
Earlier after winning the toss Sultan-Ul-Arifeen scored 212 runs in the allotted overs in which Aijaz ahmad score 61, Manzoor Elahi 45 and in form batsman Irfan Rashid scored 40 runs For Dalgate XI, Basit Ahmad took three wickets.
Chasing the target, Dalgate XI trumbled in start as Asrar Andrabi bowled superbly and even got three wickets in one over but it was Aijaz for Dalgate XI who showed resistance and scored 54 runs. It was then down to final over in which Irfan Rashid kept his cool and defended the runs and Sultan-Ul-Arifeen won the match by 2 runs. For S.A Ahmad Nagar, Asrar Andrabi, Manzoor illahi and Irfan rRashi picked up three wickets each. Manzoor Ellahi was declared man of the match.
With this win Sultan-Ul-Arifeen CC qualified for semifinals of the tournament.
