Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir witnessed record spike as 1,355 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday taking the total tally to 45,925 in the Union Territory.
According to the official data, of the fresh cases, 785 were detected in Jammu division and 570 in Kashmir including 79 travellers.
This is for the 6th consecutive day that Jammu and Kashmir recorded over one thousand cases in J&K.
The district-wise breakup of the cases on Tuesday is: Srinagar 210, Baramulla 35, Pulwama 31, Budgam 94, Anantnag 44, Bandipora 32, Kupwara 52, Kulgam 10, Shopian 16, Ganderbal 43.
Jammu Division: Jammu 483, Rajouri 55, Kathua 31, Udhampur 59, Samba 20, Ramban 07, Doda 35, Poonch 43, Reasi 17 and Kishtwar 35.
Moreover, 491 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals – 74 from Jammu Division and 417 from Kashmir Valley.
