A first-of-its-kind mobile gaming competition kicked off in National Insitute of Engineering (NIT) Srinagar on Saturday
Named `RECOIL’, the two-day event was organized by NIT’s media club. People across the valley participated in the event.
Players were briefed about the rules before the inauguration.
The event consisted of three games –BGMI, CSGO, and Tekken. The event started with BGMI qualifiers. More than 50 teams played the game in different computer labs at NIT Srinagar.
The top teams of these qualifiers will now be competing in the final scheduled to be held on Sunday.
In CSGO, top teams competed against each other in the qualifiers. The winning teams will be competing in the final on June 12 at NIT Srinagar.
Tekken was open to all participants. More than 100 people competed in the qualifiers.
Organizers said the qualifiers were a great success as people from all over the valley participated. Winners will take Rs 10,000 home on Sunday.
“Gamers showcased their skills during the qualifiers. The finals for all the games will be played on Sunday,” the organizers said.
