SRINAGAR: Kashmir Weather (KW), a private forecaster, said due to the possibility of rainfall till tomorrow, there is a potential for the water level of the Jhelum to increase.
“Over the past week, the river’s water level was already high as a result of rapid glacier melting caused by intense heat. Therefore, it is crucial to monitor the situation closely,” KW said.
KW also noted that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain showers across Jammu and Kashmir during the next hours. The maximum intensity will be seen over the Jammu region.
Intense showers, cloudbursts, and flash floods can’t be ruled out, KW said
