Pulwama Admin Issues Weather Advisory, Urges Residents to Stay Cautious

Pulwama, August 30: The Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Pulwama has issued a weather advisory, urging residents to exercise caution due to severe weather conditions expected over the next week.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall, flash floods, cloudbursts, landslides, thunderstorms, and possible earthquakes.

The advisory specifically warns those living near the Jhelum River, its tributaries, and adjacent nallas to avoid these areas and limit outdoor activities until conditions improve.

Boatmen are advised to be extremely cautious and to avoid crossing the Jhelum River at designated ferry points unless safety has been thoroughly assessed.
