‘Project & Financial Management’: NPC Residential Training Prog held at Leh

LEH: In an effort to upgrade the skills of various officials from Central & State Government Departments, Academic Institutions, PSUs, etc., National Productivity Council (NPC) a national level organization under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India had successfully organized a Residential Training Program on “Project Management & Financial Management” from June 17-21, 2024 at Leh, Ladakh There were 30 participants from different Organizations, Academic institutes, Corporations and various other departments.

Rajesh Sund, Director (Economic Services), NPC, who was coordinator of the program and faculty for topic on Financial Management has specified that this Training Program has been conceptualized with the objective that participants got insight into Project Planning, Implementation, Team, Roles and Responsibilities. Participants will gain knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. Similarly, there were sessions on Financial Decision Making regarding estimating investments and directing projects & teams. Participants were enabled with the use of qualitative & quantitative tools and measures to distinguish the key financial risks, valuation techniques and tools for learning & developing unique strategies, implement correctly and set financial targets.

 The Training Program had utilised a range of learning methodologies, including short presentations with opportunity for question & answer, exercises & case studies to develop knowledge & skills, and group discussions for participants to share their opinions & experiences with your each other.

The participants appreciated the presentations, quality of course material, contents and technical sessions conducted by both the faculties. The participants showed great enthusiasm in presentations on Project Planning, Implementation & Team Performance, Roles & Responsibilities measuring individual performance and different approaches on Financial Decision Making & Financial Risk Management. On the last day of the Training Program, the participants have interactive discussions on their learning outcomes from the program and how they will be implementing the learning in their respective departments. Certificates were distributed along with a copy of Group Photograph to each participant.
