GUREZ, SEPTEMBER 11: Accompanying BJP candidate for Gurez, Faqir Mohammad Khan, BJP National Executive Member and J&K Waqf Board Chairperson, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today joined the mega rally of Bharatiya Janata Party from Wanpora Bridge to the office of the Returning Officer in Gurez. The rally, held in the border valley, was attended by a large gathering of people, with a significant cavalcade of vehicles passing through many localities and hamlets, receiving a rousing welcome. People showered flower petals on the vehicles during the rally.
Eminent politician and BJP candidate for Gurez, Faqir Mohammad Khan, later filed his nomination papers at the office of the Returning Officer in the presence of Dr. Andrabi. Khan expressed his gratitude to the people for their love and support.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi remarked that the beautiful border valley had lacked development for the past seven decades, but the BJP has brought significant changes to the lives of the people. “Prime Minister’s special developmental initiatives have transformed Gurez. A very important road network has been laid in all parts of the valley. Many development initiatives have been undertaken, and in the days to come, Gurez will see more progress envisioned by the BJP,” said Dr. Andrabi.
She praised the people of Gurez for their nationalistic approach and criticized the political dynasties, saying that while their representatives worked for personal gains, the BJP has established peace and prosperity everywhere. “BJP has a clear developmental vision, while dynastic parties only sell hollow slogans and show people castles in the air, as they have done for decades to exploit voters,” said Andrabi. She emphasized that these elections provide an opportunity to elect honest and dedicated representatives, ensuring that the corrupt dynasties are shown the door.
