GUREZ, SEPTEMBER 25: Senior BJP leader and election campaign in-charge for Jammu & Kashmir, Ram Madhav, stated on Wednesday that the removal of the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi families from J&K politics is essential for the flourishing of democracy in the region.
Addressing a public meeting in Batra village, Gurez, in support of the party’s candidate Faqir Mohammad Khan, Madhav said, “Prime Minister Modi has brought peace to J&K and eliminated terrorism, but the National Conference (NC) and Congress (Cong) want to revive terrorism and push the region into unrest.” He added that “the people support PM Modi’s development agenda.”
Madhav further criticised the NC and Congress for advocating the reinstatement of Article 370, claiming, “They want to bring death and destruction back to J&K. The ousting of dynastic parties from J&K’s politics is crucial for democracy to flourish and for peace to prevail.”
He praised Prime Minister Modi for restoring peace and democracy in J&K, which he said has paved the way for development and prosperity. Madhav accused the three dynastic parties of plundering J&K and stifling democracy, emphasising that full freedom from such rulers is necessary to maintain peace and progress.
He urged the public to vote in large numbers to ensure the BJP’s victory, so that the ongoing development and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir continue.
BJP General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, expressed confidence that the people will support the BJP, stating, “Only the BJP guarantees peace, development, and a bright future for J&K.” He emphasised that the public is fully behind PM Modi’s development agenda and predicted the BJP will form the next government in J&K.
Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, credited Prime Minister Modi with transforming J&K, replacing terrorism and stone-pelting with peace and a surge in tourism. She noted that the BJP-led central government has truly brought democracy to the region, unlike the 70-year rule of dynastic parties, which, she said, only benefited a few families while oppressing the common people.
BJP Secretary Tariq Keen and party candidate from Gurez (ST), Faqir Mohammad Khan, also addressed the gathering.
