Phase-II: Arrangements finalised for filing nomination papers

GANDERBAL, AUGUST 28: To ensure a smooth and efficient filing of nomination papers which starts from 29 August, 2024 under phase-II in Ganderbal District, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Gulzar Ahmad today convened a crucial meeting to finalize arrangements for the smooth filing of nominations for Assembly Constituency 18-Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (RO for Ganderbal Constituency), M Altaf, ARTO, DySP Traffic, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, LDM and other officials.

During the meeting, the ADC conducted a comprehensive review of various logistical arrangements to ensure an orderly nomination process. Key areas discussed included parking arrangements, appointment of magistrates, traffic management, security and establishment of a Help Desk besides cleanliness of the premises, signage placement and other related aspects.

The Executive Officer of the Municipal Council was instructed to maintain proper cleanliness both within and outside the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal premises where RO room has been established.

The ARTO Ganderbal was directed to ensure the proper parking of vehicles belonging to candidates in the designated parking area. Dy.SP Traffic was instructed to ensure smooth traffic management in the town during the period of Nomination process.

Similarly, the Police department was directed to ensure proper security arrangements are put in place during these days. In addition, the R&B Department was tasked with placing appropriate signage at key locations for the convenience of candidates.

The RO informed the meeting that a Help Desk has been established adjacent to the RO room to facilitate the candidates during the nomination process. The ADC emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the guidelines laid down by the Election Commission of India throughout the nomination process.
