NLCO launches ‘Mission Ehsaas Phase IV’

SRINAGAR: The Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), under the leadership of Chairman Manzoor Wangnoo, successfully launched Mission Ehsaas Phase IV, and on the eve of Eid al Adha, NLCO launched a special campaign under Mission Ehsaas aimed at sensitising the public about the importance of not dumping animal remains in water bodies during Eid ul Adha. This initiative has garnered tremendous support and participation, reflecting the community’s commitment to preserving our natural resources.

Chairman Manzoor Wangnoo expressed his gratitude to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LC&MA), dedicated volunteers, stakeholders, and the entire NLCO team for their exemplary efforts. “The coordinated efforts of SMC, LC&MA, our dedicated volunteers, stakeholders, and the incredible NLCO team have made a significant impact in raising awareness about the importance of not dumping animal remains in our precious water bodies,” said Wangnoo.

A special acknowledgment was given to Dr. Touseef for his unwavering support and meticulous monitoring throughout this mission. “His dedication and commitment have been pivotal in ensuring the success of our efforts,” added Wangnoo.

The awareness campaign has seen positive participation from the public, with many pledging to dispose of animal remains responsibly. This collective action is crucial for maintaining the health and cleanliness of our water bodies, which are vital for the ecosystem and the community.
