Srinagar, Apr 3: The administration in Srinagar has identified 23 department stores in the city where people can call and place orders for home delivery.
The attempt is to ensure citizens stay indoors to contain the spread of coronavirus.
“How about getting groceries home-delivered while we can’t go out? Yes we’ve identified 23 department stores in different Srinagar areas that residents can ring to place their orders and get them home-delivered. Order issued under disaster management act 2005,” read a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the Srinagar district administration.
The administration has tried to cover major parts of Srinagar by designating department stores located across the city.
The list includes ‘7/11 department store’ in Sanat Nagar, ‘Cash & Carry’ in Jawahar Nagar, ‘Pick & Choose’ in Lal Chowk, ‘Royal Bazar’ store in Khanyar, ‘Treats Special Mart’ in Soura among others.
For the convenience of the consumers, the administration has attached with the list the phone numbers of concerned officials as well.
