Motorola on Monday launched budget smartphones Moto G6 and Moto G6 smartphones in India. Moto G6 starts at Rs 13,999 for the base model, while Moto G6 Play will retail at Rs 11,999. Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will be available online via Amazon?India and Flipkart, respectively, starting midnight.
Moto G6is the successor to the last year’s Moto G5. Motorola’s Moto G6 series comes with major design changes and minor specifications upgrades. For instance, Motorola’s new smartphones come with an 18:9 aspect ratio and glass design among other upgrades. Moto G6 smartphones will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, popular budget Android phones in India.
Moto G6 offers
There are a few launch offers available for the new Moto G6 phones. The company is offering a cashback of Rs 1,200 on purchasing the phones via Paytm mall at Moto Hubs. The scheme is available till June 6.
For online customers, Motorola is offering 1 year Amazon Prime Membership with Airtel Monthly Postpaid plans of Rs.499 or above on purchasing the Moto G6 via Amazon India. This also includes a Rs 2,000 cashback for prepaid customers. Customers with HDFC Bank Debit or Credit card will be eligible for Rs 1,250 discount.
For Moto G6 Play, customers will get an extra Rs1,500 discount over the regular exchange value on Flipkart. There’s also a flat Rs1,000 off on using ICICI Bank Credit and Debit Cards. Flipkart is also offering a guaranteed buyback value of up to Rs 5,100.
Moto G6 specifications
Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch full HD+ Max Vision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 3GB RAM plus 32GB?storage and 4GB?RAM?plus 64GB storage.
For photography, Moto G6 sports a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. Up front, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, Moto G6 runs a near stock Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
The phone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery.

Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch HD+ Max Vision display, with a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor running under its hood. The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB?of onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card. For photography, Moto G6 Play sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery, and runsAndroid 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
