Srinagar, Aug 19: A teenage student of Delhi Public School who had gone missing from Srinagar on Saturday was traced on Sunday.
Azhar Abbas Mirza, son of Akeel Hussain of Hawal went missing from Srinagar on Saturday afternoon. He is a 10th standard student of DPS Srinagar.
On Sunday DC Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah tweeted: “The boy has been traced , he’s Safe & Secure, Will be reunited with his family tomorrow. The great power of social media came to the rescue of a family in distress. Thank you all for the RTs (re-tweets) & helping trace him. Let’s pledge to use social media to come together on all such causes.”
Earlier, the distressed family has sought help from the general public about the missing boy.
Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS, Vijay Dhar as per local media reports had said the student attended classes on Saturday and was dropped by the school bus in the afternoon.
The family had filed a missing complaint with the police.
