Srinagar: One militant and ASI of J&K police were killed in ongoing encounter at Panthachowk in Srinagar outskirts.
“One militant and ASI has been killed in ongoing encounter in Srinagar outskirts, ” police said in a statement.
They said that the ASI identified as Babu Ram who was earlier critically injured succumbed to his injuries at 92 Base hospital.
Till this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.
Earlier three bike-borne militants had attacked a joint team of police and CRPF near Panthachowk in which no damage was done, they said.
