MeT Sees No Major Weather Changes in J&K Until August 31

Srinagar, Aug 23: Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday predicted no significant weather activity in Jammu and Kashmir till August 31.

A MeT department said that from August 23rd to 25th there is nothing significant weather activity predicted, but brief spell of rain and thundershower at few places may occur.

It said from August 26th to 28th there is a possibility of light to moderate rain/thundershower at scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu and Kashmir.

From August 29th to 31st there is a possibility of brief spell of rain/thundershower at isolated places of J&K.

The department while issuing advisory said that there is a possibility of intense showers for a brief period at few places with heavy rain at isolated places of Jammu division during August 26th & 27th.

It also predicted flashfloods, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones over vulnerable places.
