They once were the most stylish Sri Lankan cricketers. But today they work as ordinary drivers in Australia to support their families.

Former Sri Lankan cricketers Suraj Randiv and Chinthaka Jayasinghe are now driving buses in Melbourne, Australia. Former Zimbabwean cricketer Waddington Mwayenga is also earning his livelihood by driving a private company’s bus.

Three of them work for `Transdev’, which employs more than 1,200 people and offers transport services to the people residing in the city.

Despite working as drivers, they still practice regularly hoping to join the Big Bash League of Australia.

According to the Australian transport minister, it won’t be surprising to see any famous personality on the driving seat of the Transdev bus. Sometimes, passengers recognize them and take the opportunity to interact with them.

It was not immediately known whether these cricketers left the country due to the economic crisis
