JKHCBA condemns civilian killings in Khudwani

Srinagar, Apr 12: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) on Thursday condemned the civilian killings at Khudwani and ‘state terror’ perpetuated upon the youth in Kashmir.
The JKHCBA also called upon all peace loving nations to break their silence on state repression in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Indian Govt has leashed unilateral war of attrition against people of J&K. repeated mass killings by Indian army and other security agencies across the state symbolized the with genocide and create fear psychosis in JK,” General Secretary JKHCBA Srinagar, Advocate GN Shaheen said in a statement.
He said that Kashmir has emerged as tragic human tragedy unattended by the world community.
“Today lawyers suspended their work in courts across the Kashmir and Chenab Valley to register their protest against mass killings and attempts to deny the justice to Asifa Bano,” he added.
“It is unfortunate that the fringe elements are backed by some political forces to communalize the crime to defend the criminal. We demand law should take its own recourse. Asifa trial should be either conducted by the JK High Court or at least monitored by the JK High Court,” he added. (KNS)
