Jammu-Srinagar Highway Traffic Halted

Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway was temporarily halted on Tuesday due to road maintenance activities at Dalwas, according to officials.

A Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police official stated, “Traffic has been halted at Dalwas on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW to remove mud flush and improve the road surface. People are advised to cooperate with the Traffic Police.”

The official also mentioned earlier that traffic was moving from Jammu towards Srinagar on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW, but there was slow movement due to the road being reduced to a single lane and poor surface conditions at Dalwas.

“Commuters are advised to adhere to lane discipline as overtaking can lead to congestion,” he added.

Additionally, people are advised and requested not to go against the advisory or traffic plan, as there might be traffic congestion due to the narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
