Jamia Millia Islamia has invited applications to fill the posts of Assistant Professor and Guest Teacher post.

The candidates may download a detailed advertisement along with the qualifications and application form from the University’s website http://imi.ac.in and send it with complete in all respect to the concerned Department on or before 29.07.2022.

Faculty of Engg. & Technology

  1. Department of Computer Engineering

Two Asstt. Professors ( contractual)

One Guest Teacher

  1. Department of Mechanical Engineering

Four Asstt. Professors (contractual)

One Guest Teacher

  1. Department of Environmental Science

Four Asstt. Professors ( contractual)

Qualification for the posts listed at Sr. Nos. A-J and 2 (i.e. Engg. & Tech. discipline)

B. E. / B.Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

Remuneration

Asstt. Professors (contractual) under the Regular Courses on consolidated salary of Rs. 67,000/­per month.

Guest Teachers under the Regular Courses will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 50,000/- per month and will share the equal workload as shared by the Asstt. Professor (contractual).

Guest Teachers (Self-financed Courses) will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 50,000/- per month and will share the equal workload as shared by the Asstt. Professor (contractual).

General Instructions

Applicants are requested to kindly submit the prescribed Application Form in the concerned Department/ Centre, JMI.

There will no fee for filling up the application form for the above positions.

The concerned Department/Centre will screen the application of the candidates and will call for an interview accordingly.

The engagement of the Guest Teachers will be w.e.f. the date of taking classes (but not before the date of the Local Selection Committee) for the Academic Session 2022-23 or till vacancy exits or till further orders, whichever is earlier.

Selection against vacancy shall not confer on the appointee any right of permanent appointment/ regularization.

Separate application should be submitted for each post.
