`Husn tera tauba tauba….’:  From streets to cyberspace, NC’s victory celebrations set off meme fest

Srinagar: National Conference (NC’s) victory has set off a meme fest on social media.

NC on Tuesday became the single largest party winning 42 seats in the 90-member House.

While the celebrations followed by its workers throughout the day, it has now shifted to social media which is abuzz with memes and funny videos of its workers.

From dancing to the tunes of Zyun Ho Zyun Ho to the videos of party vice president Omar Abdullah with Bollywood songs playing in the background, the internet is abuzz with celebrations.

In one video, a worker of the National Conference does a funny ‘Locking and Popping’ on Zyun Ho Zyun Ho”. The video is circulating on social media platforms with maximum views and likes.

One of the most popular trends is the circulation of clips paired with the iconic “Sher Aya Sher Aya” (The Lion is Here) song, symbolizing the return of Omar Abdullah as a political force.

This video features Omar Abdullah walking soon after being declared as the winner of the assembly election 2024.

In another video, an NC supporter declares to sacrifice a sheep after the party victory. The video shows a ram wrapped with the NC flag held by many of the NC supporters.

In yet another AI-generated video, Omar Abdullah is being shown dancing to the 2024 hit Bollywood song husan tera tauba tauba song.

Apart from NC, supporters of the winning candidates from other parties too have uniquely celebrated their leader’s victory.

For instance, the supporters of  Er Rashid-led Awami Ittehad party, have celebrated the victory of his brother Khurshid Ahmad Shaikh by bursting firecrackers inside a pressure cooker.

Notably, the pressure cooker was the symbol of AIP in this assembly election. This video is also receiving an immense response from social media platforms including Facebook, X, and WhatsApp.
