Srinagar: Emraan Hashmi has wrapped up shooting for ‘Ground Zero’ in the Kashmir valley.

A member of the film crew said ‘Ground Zero’ was shot in many parts of the Valley. However, he said, most of it was shot in and around Pahalgam.

“The shooting schedule has been completed today and the crew shot at places like the interiors of the Dal Lake, BSF camps in Srinagar outskirts, etc but most of the shooting took place in South Kashmir. As the crew could not shoot in downtown Srinagar due to security reasons, a similar atmosphere was recreated at Laripora, Pahalgam,” he said.

He said it was Emraan’s first visit to Kashmir and he was impressed with the hospitality of the people.

“Emraan came here on August 24 and this was his first Kashmir visit. He is in love with the place and has been impressed by the hospitality of the people,” he said.

Earlier, Emraan too had said the people of Kashmir had remained ‘warm and welcoming’ while refuting news that he was injured in a stone-pelting incident.

“The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming, it has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam. The news of me being injured in a stone pelting incident is inaccurate,” he had tweeted after reports of an isolated incident of stone-pelting on the crew in South Kashmir.

Police arrested one person for pelting stones at the crew.

“On September 18, a miscreant pelted stones on the crew members. Accordingly, FIR no. 77/2022 was registered in Police Station Pahalgam. The miscreant was identified and arrested. (sic),” the Anantnag police had tweeted on Monday.

‘Ground Zero’ is directed by Marathi filmmaker Tejas Vijay Deoskar.
