Govt. to call back teachers working in other departments including DC offices

Srinagar, Mar 29:Days after it canceled the attachment of teachers to various Chief Education and Zonal Education Offices, the government is now contemplating to call back teachers who have been deployed to other non-teaching departments, including Divisional commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and other offices. It is also considering to cancel the deployments of those teachers who are working in personal sections of bureaucrats and other offices in the civil Secretariat . These teachers will be asked to report back to their original place of posting and continue with their teaching instead of chasing mantris in the corridors of Secretariat. KNS has learnt from reliable sources that Education department has decided to call back the teachers who are deputed in various departments other than the Education so that they would be asked to render their services on their original place of posting. Sources in the directorate of School Education Kashmir said, that the both the directorates at Srinagar and Jammu were collecting the details of all those teachers who have been deputed to departments other than their parent department.
“We are collecting details of all those teachers who have been deployed to other departments including bureaucrats, and Deputy Commissioner’s offices. We are also compiling the details of those teachers who are deputed with the personal section of ministers.” a senior officer in the DSEK told KNS wishing anonymity. The department is understood to ban all transfers during the academic session and a circular is likely to be issued in next few days. Sources said that strict action would be taken against Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers for violating the transfer policy.
Pertinently government has ordered cancelation of all the attachments of teachers on non-teaching posts and they have been asked to report back to their original place of posting. (KNS)
