Double chins can happen to anyone; you can be slim and still have a double chin. However, people that have a bit of extra weight are more prone to it. Thankfully, there are ways you tone this area and get rid of your double chin. Exercises that specifically target this area can help tone it and improve its appearance in a few months. Below are some easy exercises that remove a double chin you can do every day.
Tongue on Teeth
You can do this exercise while you are sitting down or standing up, just make sure to keep your back straight. Open your mouth as wide as you can and place the tip of your tongue on the back of your bottom teeth. You will feel a stretch in your jaw area. Inhale through the mouth and exhale. Close your mouth and repeat this process again for about 10 to 15 times.
Chin Slap
This is a simple exercise not only to help with reducing your double chin, but can also help keep your skin firm. Face forward and place the back of your hand on the side of your jaw and lightly slap the back of your hand from the side of your jaw towards your chin and move it from side to side. You can also apply a good amount of moisturizer on your jaw to help with tightening.
In and Out
Place your both of your hands in front of your mouth and nose as if you are going to sneeze. Place your thumbs on the edge of your jaws. Lightly massage your jaw towards your chin and repeat this for about 30 second. You can practice this every day to help sharpen your jaw and reduce a double chin.
Stick It Out
This is a simple exercise you can do that can help tone your neck and chin. All you need to do is to open your mouth and stick your tongue out as far as you can and count to five. Close your mouth and relax. Repeat this for about 30 seconds.
Neck Roll
A great way to tone the chin and neck is the neck roll. Stand up straight and drop your chin towards your chest and slowly roll your head clockwise. Once you return to your original position, hold this position for a few seconds and roll counterclockwise. Repeat this for about 30 seconds.
Sagging around our chin can occur as early as our twenties. This can be caused by poor diet, poor hygiene, sun damage, tugging at the skin, rapid weight loss and gain and smoking. There are two main muscles in your neck that the exercises above can help tone. However, if you continue with bad habits – your skin will continue to sag and can appear as a double chin. To get rid of it completely, make sure to moisturize the skin to improve elasticity and opt for a healthier lifestyle.
