In Srinagar, Baldev Prakash, the Managing Director and CEO of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, revealed the J&K Bank’s 2024 Wall Calendar in the presence of Sudhir Gupta, the Executive Director. This unveiling ceremony, attended by General Managers and senior officers at the corporate headquarters, witnessed enthusiastic applause.
Themed ‘Timeless Treasures’, the calendar features emerging picturesque tourist destinations across the J&K and Ladakh UTs. Alongside the physical calendar, an e-Calendar for 2024 was also launched during the event.
Expressing his thoughts during the unveiling, Baldev Prakash emphasized, “The J&K Bank Calendar is a cherished item in homes and offices across J&K and Ladakh, serving as a valued souvenir throughout the year. For decades, it has not only promoted our brand but also showcased the diverse beauty of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, intertwining different cultures and geographies into a captivating tapestry.”
Acknowledging the overwhelming reception as a testament to the public’s trust and affection for the bank in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, he highlighted, “With an annual tourist influx exceeding 2 crores, the ‘Timeless Treasure’ theme for the 2024 Calendar aims to spotlight and popularize the swiftly emerging tourist spots in these regions.”
He further elaborated, “As substantial contributors to tourism development, our intent is to utilize the bank’s brand appeal to draw attention to these emerging destinations, ensuring their inclusion in the itineraries of major tour companies nationwide and internationally. Additionally, the e-Calendar ensures our presence across digital platforms, granting easy access to our calendar on the go.”
Extending New Year wishes to the people of J&K, Ladakh, and the bank’s customers nationwide, Baldev Prakash added, “May the upcoming year bring happiness, health, peace, and prosperity to all.”
Prior to the unveiling, Syed Shafat Hussain Rufai, the Bank’s General Manager, briefed the MD on the process involved in creating the 2024 Calendar. He emphasized, “The Wall Calendar holds an iconic status in J&K and Ladakh, eagerly awaited at the start of every new year. It serves not only as a powerful brand promotion tool for the Bank but also as a means of effective brand recall within people’s homes.”
The Calendar showcases emerging tourist spots such as Tulip Garden in Sanasar, Jammu; Hanle Village in Ladakh; Bangus Valley in Kupwara, Kashmir; Botapathri in Gulmarg, Kashmir; Tso Moriri Lake in Ladakh; and Jai Valley in Bhaderwah, Jammu.
