‘Do Not Disturb’: WhatsApp to roll out value-added features

WhatsApp is reportedly planning to launch more value-added features to the messenger app after bringing disappearing messages and multi-device support. According to reports, WhatsApp has rolled out a ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode in the latest beta update. However, it is only available for iPhones with iOS 15 software. With this feature, users can block incoming calls and also message notifications.

WhatsApp feature tracker, WABetaInfo reported that the Meta-owned app is working on a new feature that will allow users to block incoming calls and message notifications. You can enable and disable the ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode by going to the settings.

This feature will help when users want to attend meetings or even drive or sleep without any distractions. They can turn on the ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode during the particular time slot and avoid being disturbed by incoming calls and message notifications.

However, this feature will be available only for the iPhones with iOS 15 software and newer versions only. Though WhatsApp supports iPhones with iOS 12, 13, and 14 also, the ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode won’t work on them.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also planning to bring an option that lets users exit a group discreetly without informing the group admin or the other members. Also, the Meta-owned company is testing new security features for its users.
