District Jammu wins state Wushu Championship

Srinagar: District Jammu emerged winners in the 14th J&K state Wushu championship Jammu.
On the valedictory function of the 14th J&K State Wushu Championship at Jammu, district Jammu lifted the Champions’ trophy while as district Samba was runner up.
District Srinagar Budgam shared third place.
Eleven hundred participants took part from 20 districts of state in this four days. J&K State Wushu Championship organised by Wushu Association of Jammu, which was sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Dr. Ashok Bhan ,IPS Retd.DGP J&K was the chief Guest occasion. He lauded the Wushu association of J&K for reaching in all districts and taking the Wushu to new heights.
He congratulated Rajinder Singh and Bhanu Partap Singh for achieving the medals in the world and Asian championship. He also congratulated Kuldeep Handoo National Chief Coach of India for leading the Indian team and making the country and state proud.
Wahid ur Rahman Para,Secretary J&K State Sports Council presided the function and congratulated the Wushu Association of J&K and all the Wushu players from 20 districts.
He assured that sports council will open State Wushu Academy soon in Jammu and Kashmir.
