The protesting attendants said that due to the strike by the doctors’, patients from all corners of the Valley have to go through a tough phase. “Yesterday a newborn baby died due to the negligence of the doctors, who will be responsible for that,” said a lady attendant.
“This is very unfortunate. We are poor and we admit our patients here with a hope but the authorities here turn blind eyes towards us,” the lady added.
The protestors have appealed the concerned authorities to intervene in the matter so that the poor patients will not suffer further.
Meanwhile, an official from the Medical Superintendent’s office while talking to Kashmir Life over the phone said that the resident doctors are on strike and deaths are normal in such cases.
