COVID19: Mother-daughter duo tests positive in Bandipora

Bandipora:  A four year-old-girl along with her mother were tested positive for coronavirus in Bandipora district today.

Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr Tajamul said that nine more persons were tested positive for COVID19 in Bandipora today. “Those who were tested positive today are all contacts of the deceased Covid-19 man from Gund Jahangir Bandipora,” he said.

CMO Bandipora said that after the death of COVID19 patient at Gund Jahangir, all the relatives were quarantined. “14 relatives of deceased man were quarantined. Among those nine were tested positive today including 4-year-girl along with her monther. We are shifting them to isolation wards,” he said .

Nine confirmed cases were reported from the district today, taking the total number of positive cases to 52. (KNT)
