COVID19: 25 more test positive in Kashmir; J&K tally 270

Srinagar: It was yet another day of a huge addition to the coronavirus positive cases in Kashmir as 25 more persons were tested positive on Monday.

“25 new cases of Covid-19 reported in J&K. All from Kashmir. Total now at 270,”Government spokesperson, Rohit Kansal said in a tweet.

The total number of positive cases in J&K now stands at 270 with 222 of them from Kashmir and 48 from Jammu.

Till Sunday, 51320 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance which include 9153 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 433 in Hospital Quarantine, 235 in hospital isolation and 29718 under home surveillance. Besides, 11777 persons have completed their 28-day surveillance period.

Meanwhile, according to the advisory issued in the media bulletin, the general public has been urged to stay indoors, strictly implement social distancing measures, disclose recent travel history to COVID-19 affected countries and report any contact with positive cases voluntarily.

People have been advised to take care of their well being and mental health during the lockdown.

Giving tips, the advisory has asked people to: follow a daily routine

Write down their thoughts, listen to their favourite music & songs, reach out to friends through phone calls or online, work on their passion or hobbies in  households and avoid excessive exposure to COVID-19 related news that may be upsetting.
