Srinagar July 8: Reacting to the assertions of BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav, in which he has stated BJP was not interested to form the Government in the State, besides stating that his Party (BJP) is “OK” with Governor Rule, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Sunday questioned Madhav over his remarks, questioned as to what is the logic behind keeping Assembly in suspended animation. Commenting on Madhav’s Statement, the JKPCC Spokesperson emphasized the Governor to keep a check on the efforts of horse-trading by Power hungry people, as that, the speculations were rife that Govt formation will soon take place, which is not possible, as of now, a far as Congress Party is concerned, a in such a situation, Governor should dissolve the House to put an end to speculations and horse trading. He said BJP National General Secretary has declared that his Party was not interested to Form the Govt on the one hand and on the other it (BJP) feels comfortable with Governor rule in the State. The Spokesperson said that BJP is playing dangerous card while eyeing on the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he added and urged upon like-minded Political Parties to join Congress Party in it’s endeavor to save democracy, besides thwarting the designs of BJP. There were also reports of hobnobbing by some PDP Legislators with a particular party with regard to Govt formation, Congress Party apprehends that if the Assembly is not dissolved, there will be horse trading, which will certainly be detrimental to democratic set up. The Spokesperson urged upon the Governor to take note of Madhav’s Statement and dissolve the Assembly, he added and said Congress Party believes that keeping Assembly in suspended animation will certainly pave the way for horse-trading, which has to be stopped in the larger interests of democracy.
